As two educational icons in the wider Geelong region, The Gordon and Deakin University share a unique relationship. Deakin University was actually established from a part of The Gordon over 30 years ago, and their Waurn Ponds Campus used to be a Gordon campus! Today, this relationship means our students have access to fantastic pathway opportunities, credit transfers and guaranteed places. So not only can a diploma or advanced diploma lead you into a degree at Deakin, you can alsoget Credit for Prior Learning which will reduce the time and number of units you need to complete your degree.
There are extra benefits to completing a vocational training qualification before you start higher education studies.
The Gordon and Deakin University now offer a dual delivered course, giving you the opportunity to experience the benefits of both TAFE and university.
The Bachelor of Architectural Technology is a three year program, designed to provide you with practical skills as well as theoretical knowledge. Students undertake their first year at The Gordon, second year concurrently between The Gordon and Deakin, and their final year at Deakin. Check out Deakin’s website for more details.
