It’s exciting to think that soon you will be able to make some choices about what you’re going to do when you leave secondary school.
We encourage all students to undertake tertiary (post-high school) training which create improved job prospects, and also lead to better pay and higher job satisfaction. But with so many career and course options out there, how do you choose?
It’s important the choices you make are all about you!
We hope you will make your course and career choices based on what motivates you, what you enjoy and what you are good at. This will lead you to choose a course and a career that will make you happy. Please take a look at our Year 10 Guide. It will give you a look at some of the career options available in your interest areas.
After secondary school, you can also choose courses or training which are taught in different ways. Some students learn best in an academic setting, like a university. Others learn best in a hands-on environment like we provide at The Gordon. It’s important to choose a learning style that suits you best.
If you are a hands-on learner, there are lots of different ways you can start learning at The Gordon. While at school you can choose a Gordon VETiS (VET in Schools) subject as part of your VCE or VCAL program.
If you would like to leave school and come to The Gordon full-time you can:
