Begin the first two years of Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology as part of a VCAL program.  Completion of all required units will reduce the educational component of an apprenticeship.  The training is mainly project based and gives industry relevant hands-on experience as an introduction to the diverse career opportunities in the Automotive Industry.

Carry Out Vehicle Safety/Roadworthy Inspection

Test, Services and Charge Batteries

Carry Out Repairs to Single Electrical Circuits

Repair Ignition Systems

The VCAL Automotive course takes place at the Boundary Road East Geelong Campus of the Gordon where several trades can work around each other – and occasionally at external community locations
