Landscaping

Undertake a full landscaping pre-apprenticeship as part of a VCAL program.  Completion of all required units will reduce the educational component of an apprenticeship.  The training is mainly project based and gives industry relevant hands-on experience as an introduction to the diverse career opportunities in Landscaping and Horticulture in general.

 

What we offer

The VCAL Landscaping course incorporates a full Certificate II in Landscaping and offers training in:

  • Laying paving
  • Landscape design
  • Construction of brick/block structures
  • Hand and power tool use
  • Installation of aggregate paths
  • Operation of machinery and equipment

This course is underpinned by industry standard Occupational Health and Safety work practices.  First-aid and Course in Construction Card (CIC) is part of all GTEC courses.

The VCAL Landscaping course takes place at a number of different sites, both at the Gordon where several trades can work around each other and at external community locations.
