What is VCAL?

VCAL is the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning.

For those who wish to pursue vocational training and employment, it’s a hands-on option for students in Years 11 and 12.  It is a great way to go if you wish to complete Year 11 and 12 and move straight into a career or further study.

Like the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), VCAL is an accredited secondary certificate.  Industry skills training is completed over a full year of study and is combined with core studies in numeracy, literacy, work related and personal development skills.  In addition, students will gain employability skills through practical work placement in industry.
