This page gives you information on how to apply directly to The Gordon Institute of TAFE. You can also apply though one of our overseas representatives. You can find a list of the Gordon’s overseas representatives on our website.
You can apply to enrol in a Gordon course at any time of the year. If your application is successful, you will be enrolled in the next available course.
Before completing the steps to apply, read our Entry Requirements page for more information.
1. Choose the course you would like to study from the Course Information page.
2. Ensure that you meet the academic entry requirements of the course you have chosen.
3. Complete all sections of the Application Form. Complete your application online here, or download the International Student Application Form.
4. Use the checklist on the back of the Application Form to ensure you include the correct certified copies of documents with you application.
5. Once you have completed your application form, mail it with your supporting documents to:International Admissions Officer Gordon Institute of TAFE Private Bag 1, Geelong Mail Centre Victoria, 3221 Australia

No application fee is required.
Once your application to study at The Gordon has been successful, we will send you an Offer and Acceptance Agreement offering you a place in the International Student Program and also outlines the terms and conditions of studyying at The Gordon.
If you are applying from a Student Visa Assessment Level 3 or 4 Country, you should take the Offer and Acceptance Agreement to the Australian High Commission (or Australian Embassy) in your country to apply for a Pre Visa Assessment (PVA). Complete and return the Offer and Acceptance Agreement with the total payment required to the Gordon Institute of TAFE.
To accept the offer, payment is required for:
ELICOS ONLY: Full course payment required if enrolling 20 weeks or less to the commencement date of the course. 50% of payment is due if enrolling more than 20 weeks until the commencement of the course.
ELICOS AND MAINSTREAM course with 20 weeks of ELICOS or less: Payment of ELICOS in full and first semester of mainstream course in full
ELICOS AND MAINSTREAM course with more than 20 weeks of ELICOS: Payment for first 20 weeks* and first semester in full
*Remaining ELICOS fees must be paid at week 18 of the first 20 weeks of ELICOS
MAINSTREAM Only: Payment of first semester in full,
Corresponding course payments must be made in full to receive a CoE.
If you are applying from a Student Visa Assessment Level 3 or 4 Country and have received a Pre Visa Approval letter, please provide a copy of the letter with the completed Offer and Acceptance Agreement and payment.
The best way to pay is via an international bank cheque or draft in Australian dollars, by telegraphic transfer or by credit card (MasterCard or VISA). Once we receive your payment, you will be sent a Confirmation of Enrolment form.
When The Gordon has received your completed Offer and Acceptance Agreement and payment, we will send you a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) form. Take this form to the Australian High Commission (or Australian Embassy) in your country to apply for a Student Visa.
If you have indicated on your Application Form that you are interested in Accommodation arrangement and/or Airport pickup, you must complete and return the application forms before the deadline.
