Agriculture and Horticulture is one of the fastest growing program areas at The Gordon, delivering a range of courses in Conservation and Land Management, Agriculture and Horticulture. 

Located at the Geelong East Campus, the Envirotech teaching team consists of trade and subject specialist with extensive industry experience and industry links. This ensures that students experience hands-on, industry focused learning and graduate job ready.

Ex student Ross Uebergang of ROSS U Design & Landscape recently won the Don Flemming Award at the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show 2012 (above picture taken at the Flower Show by Matt Deller).

While studying Commerce, Ross discovered a love of plants and changed his study direction completely, choosing to study the Diploma of Ornamental Horticulture at The Gordon due to it handy location and highly relevant courses. 

“The purpose built facilities at The Gordon are great and well ahead of many other institutions. It means you get to learn in a practical environment not just a classroom. The core staff were really helpful -  quite excitable about their profession. This excitement tended to be passed onto the students and we all worked really well together. I particularly enjoyed the mix of people in the classroom, students were different ages and from different backgrounds.”
