The Gordon Culinary School leads the Geelong region as the number one cookery training provider,  working closely with a large network of local restaurants.  Our competitive edge offers students the best possible chance for employment in an industry with critical skill shortages.

The Gordon owns and operates two public training venues; the fully licensed Davidson Restaurant and bistro style Cafe on Track, where students practise their skills in a live training environment, preparing them for the highlights and buzz of working in the real world.

Cookery students learn from the best – with award winning teachers who constantly update their skills and knowledge to the latest trends, including overseas study scholarships to some of the world’s best restaurants.

Gordon cookery students are considered some of the best in the State, with our competitive training awarding us gold, silver and bronze medals at the AusTAFE State Final 2010, a silver medal at the VicTAFE Challenge 2010 and first prize in the ‘Y’ Chef’s Competition in 2009.

The Gordon is also the first TAFE to work with Sustainability Victoria through an innovative case study into life cycle management in the cookery industry, with leading technology implemented across our cookery facilities, and students learning how to reduce their environmental impacts for long term sustainability.  Read the full case study HERE.
