Profiles and Testimonials

Chris was studying an IT degree before realising he could blend his dream to work outdoors with his passion for lawn bowls. He was offered an apprenticeship with his local club and commenced a Certificate III in Horticulture (Turf).

Chris chose the Gordon because of the reputation of the teachers and really enjoyed developing his skills. After graduating, Chris started his own turf business and is the head greenkeeper at the Ocean Grove Bowls Club. He is also studying his Diploma of Sports Turf Management and teaching up-and-coming apprentices at The Gordon.

“I left the Gordon with full confidence that the knowledge learnt and practical skills gained would provide me an excellent platform from which to launch my career.”
