Gordon fashion students at the high end of town.

The Gordon’s graduating fashion students showcased their design collection to over 100 guests in the high ground, Wurdi Youang, the 5th floor in the Geelong Library.
From elegant free-flowing silks, sharp pleating, to the cutest children's wear collection, the evening gave students an opportunity to showcase their design skills to industry.

Emerging careers.

The students, who will shortly complete their Advanced Diploma of Applied Fashion Design and Merchandising, were fortunate enough to do their six-week internships at prominent fashion labels including Briony Marsh, Witchery, Livia Arena, Linda Britton, Sportsgirl, Pearls and Roses to name a few.

Real experience.

During their studies, amongst the cutting and sewing, the students went on an international study tour to China and Hong Kong and immersed themselves into the global fashion industry, gaining experience in what it is like to be either a buyer, a merchandiser, or a product developer.
The hands-on approach to design and continuing support from dedicated teachers at The Gordon has allowed these young designers to shine and utilise the skills the fashion industry is looking for, here in our UNESCO City of Design, and beyond.
