The Gordon opens impressive new facilities

After a huge building project, our Gordon students now have access to state-of-the-art facilities dedicated to improving their learning and training experience.
H Building on the Latrobe Terrace and Gordon Avenue corner of the Geelong City Campus has gone from drab to fab.


Victoria’s Premier, the Hon. Daniel Andrews MP and Minister for Training and Skills and Minister for Higher Education, the Hon. Gayle Tierney MP joined local members of parliament, special guests, the architects, and students and staff to officially open the building.
The Premier said, “This new building will deliver an important
community asset for Geelong that will benefit local students for years
to come.”
The building is complete with a new auditorium and updated learning facilities, new student service centre, new student library and courtyard and a new student computer lab that can be used after-hours.

The building upgrade is part of the City Campus Rejuvenation Project in which the Victorian Government provided $5 million for the project
from the TAFE Rescue Fund, matching The Gordon’s $5 million in
Our Acting CEO, Joe Ormeno said, “Students and staff alike are delighted with the new built environment and its usability, and everyone has been impressed by how great it looks. It’s a fantastic re-edition of a pivotal space.”
It sure does look great - what an impressive result!
