The Gordon is participating in an exciting New Energy Technology Systems (NETS) Pilot Program*, developed by industry in response to demand for residential solar battery installation.

The course will use new training resources focused on visual and scenario-based learning. This means learners will have access to frequent short videos to support training and retention of information. Following on from the course, learners will have access to updated information to keep abreast of the on-going changes in the ‘new energy’ storage sector.

*The pilot is led by Future Energy Skills and validated and endorsed by industry stakeholders; Clean Energy Council, Smart Energy Council, Gippsland Solar, Energy Safe Victoria, National Electrical and Communications Association, Electrical Trades Union, and the Country Fire Authority.

There is no RPL for the Pilot program. A Statement of Attainment will be issued upon successful completion.

Possible Career Outcomes

  • Successful graduates can apply to the Clean Energy Council (CEC) for solar accreditation as a designer and installer of renewable energy generating systems.
