Course Description

The Gordon is looking for past or present students of the following courses; Visual Arts, Graphic Design / Digital Media, Interior Design, Building Design and Construction, Engineering, Fashion Design, Information Technology or Computer Systems Engineering. You are invited to take part in a brand new FREE* pilot program.

Local industry want more connected designers with real life industry experience. Collaborative work experience across a number of disciplines is highly valued in a design employee. If you are willing to commit to an intensive program outside your current course hours, then this is a great opportunity to take your skills to another level!
 
You will use your current design expertise to work on a real life industry project and personally connect with local industry, while you develop your online project management skills. The course combines learners from other design fields, encouraging collaboration with students and teachers from different disciplines. You will learn to apply a range of online learning and project management tools to aid the collaborative process.

*The Gordon is offering a limited number of enthusiastic students the opportunity to participate in a FREE pilot program that can be completed outside your current course commitments.

How often do I attend?

Commencing in mid January 2020, for 13 weeks, course attendance consists of:

  • 6 hour face to face induction workshop
  • 3 weeks class based delivery
  • 10 weeks online delivery 

Students should allow for 5 hours per week to study during the online and project phases, and 30 hours per week during the 3 weeks of class. 

To participate in the Pilot program you will need to be able to commit to the delivery plan.
