Would you like to become a professional youth worker in the community services sector? This course equips you with comprehensive skills and knowledge to work in a range of areas including community, government and education. The course will equip you with the practical skills required to work effectively with young people in individual and group settings, and covers subjects such as sociology, psychology, counselling skills and the youth sector.

This is a FREE TAFE COURSE in 2019.

Work placement/industry experience

Through our established network, you’ll also complete 210 hours of supervised work in an industry placement, which is organised by The Gordon. This allows you to apply your skills and knowledge, gain valuable experience, and begin to develop your own industry network.

You will be required to obtain both a current and approved Working with Children Check and Police Check to meet workplace regulatory requirements
