Course Description

Our highly regarded fashion design course equips you with the skills, knowledge and design abilities to work in all areas of the fashion industry. In the first year, you’ll develop skills across core disciplines in patternmaking, fibres and fabrics, illustration, range development, garment construction and quality assurance. The second year increases your awareness of the complementary and integrated roles of design, patternmaking, construction and associated technologies. You’ll also investigate, develop and apply skills related to current and future directions of the fashion industry.

Work placement/industry experience

In the second year, you will complete a two-week practical placement with a fashion enterprise to further strengthen your skills and gain a 'foot in the door' of the industry.
 
Throughout the course, you’ll be exposed to industry networking opportunities through a range of projects and events. You also have the opportunity to participate in our international study tour to cities such as Paris, London, Barcelona and Hong Kong.
