Course description
This 10 week preparation course will give you the confidence and skills needed to successfully enrol in a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
We will provide you with activities and information that will help develop your literacy and numeracy skills, as well as giving you an introduction to the ECEC sector. You will be supported, encouraged, and challenged every step of the way.
Topics include:
- What is Early Childhood Education?
- National Quality Framework (NQF)
- Health and Hygiene
- Accidents and Emergencies
- Learning through Play and Routine
- Cultural Awareness and Inclusion
- Communication with Children
- Communication with Families and Colleagues
- OHS and Mandatory Reporting
You must be over 18 years old to attend. A statement of participation is issued upon the completion of the course.
