Profiles and Testimonials
“I chose to study at The Gordon because of their reputation, and the fact they are very involved and recognised in the Geelong community.
The Gordon provided us with the opportunity to refine our skills both inside and outside the classroom. By volunteering at public events and working at The Gordon's salon, we were always working with real clients so when we  went into industry, we were already confident professionals.

While technical skills are very important, the beauty industry is very people-focused so it is important to make our clients feel at ease and enjoy their treatment – and I find this one of the most rewarding aspects of my job.  During the course I created a business concept and have now made it a reality with the opening of my own salon Skin Solutions Geelong.”

“We’ve got a great relationship with The Gordon. We have students that come on as a team every year and use the facilities. It’s been a great experience across the board and Gordon workplace students also make great staff members.
We’ve taken on quite a number of students over the last three years. Just under half of our employees are from The Gordon as we know that they leave with a high standard of skills.
When we’re looking to hire staff, we initially look for how they are presented as a beauty therapist including mannerisms and demeanor. But really it comes down to their level of skill. When we see applicants with The Gordon as their place of study, we are always happy to interview them.”
