Applying to GTEC has an online component and an informal student pathway discussions process that allows us to determine if the program is right for you. Prospective students must be aged between 16 and 19, and have completed Year 10 (preferably) in order to undertake VCAL Intermediate (Year 11), or have completed Year 11 to undertake VCAL Senior (Year 12).

Courses commence in February and July and study is full-time. Work experience in the student’s chosen field is recommended prior to commencement of the GTEC program. Students have to complete the Construction Induction Course (CIC or White Card) prior to commencing.
