Course/Industry Specific Scholarships

2020 Scholarship applications are closed

 

Scholarships for specific trades/areas of study are made available through the generosity of businesses in specific trade or commerce areas. Please check the descriptions of each scholarship to see whether you are eligible. Some scholarships in this category will be via the application form and others will be teacher nominated.


Students must be enrolled full time in a certificate, diploma or advanced diploma course in the building and construction industry

  • One scholarships of $1,000



The Blue Moon Pet Services
 

The Blue Moon Pet Services Scholarship

Students must be enrolled in an Animal Studies or Veterinary Nursing Course at the Gordon for a full academic year

  • Two scholarships of $1,000

The Gordon Beauty Therapy Scholarship

Students must be enrolled full time in a Beauty Therapy Certificate IV or Diploma course at the Gordon, and demonstrate financial hardship and the motivation to succeed and establish a career in the beauty industry.

  • Two scholarships of up to $1,000

The Gordon Financial Services Scholarship

Students must be enrolled full time or part time in an accounting course at the Gordon.

  • Two scholarships of $2,000

The Gordon Hospitality Scholarship

Students must be enrolled full time or part time in a hospitality or cookery course at The Gordon and demonstrate financial hardship.

  • Two scholarships of $1,000



Geelong Field Naturalist Club

Margery Rix Environment Scholarship by Geelong Field Naturalists Club

Students must be enrolled in the Diploma of Conservation and Land Management course at The Gordon.

  • This scholarships requires a separate application form, see your teacher to apply
  • One scholarship of $1,000

 

Spotlight  logo

Spotlight Scholarship

Students must be enrolled full time in an Advanced Diploma of Fashion Design 

  • One scholarship of $1,000

Geelong Galvanizing logo  

Geelong Galvanizing Scholarship

Students enrolled in a course relating to the galvanized steel industry (i.e. AM Tech/Building)

  • Five scholarships valued at $1,000 annually 

Comunity Care Chemist logo

Community Care Chemist Scholarship     

Students enrolled and enrolling full time or part time in a financial services and/or accounting course

  • One scholarship valued at $1,000 annually

  
 

"The Emma and Morris Jacobs" Scholarship

Students must be enrolled in EAL and/or General Education and intending to continue studying at The Gordon in 2020 

  • Teacher nominated (see your teacher if you think you are eligible for this. No online applications available)
  • Four scholarships - valued at $500 




Middy’s logo

Middy’s Scholarship  

Students must be enrolled either full-time or part-time in a certificate, diploma or advanced diploma course related to the electrical industry. 

  • One scholarship valued at $1,000


Dow Performance Materials logo

Dow Performance Materials Scholarship

Students must be enrolled in any of the following courses; Horticulture, Conservation & Land Management, or Laboratory Techniques.

  • Three scholarships valued at $1,000



Kinetic IT logo

Kinetic IT Scholarship

Students must be enrolled full time in an ICT course at the Gordon, and demonstrate financial hardship and the motivation to succeed and establish a career in the ICT industry

  • Three scholarships valued at $3,000



Powercor  logo

Powercor Scholarship

Students must be enrolled as a pre-apprentice in a Certificate II electrical course at the Gordon. Applications are open to female students only.

  •  One scholarship of $2,000



The Werribee Rotary logo

The Werribee Rotary Scholarship

Apprentice students enrolled at the Hoppers Crossing Campus of the Gordon

  • Two scholarships of $1,000


Saltair Spa logo
Saltair Spa Scholarship

Students must be enrolled full-time in a beauty therapy course (certificate lll, lV or diploma) at The Gordon, and demonstrate past academic achievement (including professional merit), and the dedication and motivation to succeed and establish a career in the beauty industry.

  • One scholarship of $1,250
