COURSE COURSE STATUS FREE COURSE


This skill set has been designed for currently employed workers or volunteers in customer-facing roles, in the retail, hospitality or transport and logistics sector in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Our FREE online infection control courses are self-paced, nationally recognised and can be undertaken from home, at any time. Upon completion of your online study component, you will need to undertake a 2-hour face to face assessment at The Gordon to complete your course. 

Upon completion of your infection control training, you will be able to confidently:

  • follow standard and additional precautions for infection prevention and control
  • identify infection hazards and assess risks
  • follow procedures for managing risks associated with specific hazards
You will learn a range of skills including:
  • hand hygiene practices
  • effective surface cleaning
  • use of personal protective equipment
  • disposal of contaminated waste
  • hazard identification, control and reporting
  • appropriate protocols and responses in the event of an incident
  • knowledge regarding the basis of infection and transmission

A statement of attainment will be issued upon completion of your course. Applicants must be 17 years or over. 

You may only enrol in one Free Infection Short Course Skillset. Please choose the course that best suits your current employment/volunteering arrangement.
