Victoria’s lockdown restrictions will ease from 11.59pm Thursday 10 June. However, the current Government recommendation is to continue to study from home if possible.

Course delivery
Remote learning will continue for most students until lockdown is lifted. Classes will be delivered online via Zoom meetings and Gordon Online (see exceptions below). Course timetables will apply.

  • Students undertaking practical assessments who are finishing in June 2021, may continue to attend campus. Students falling into this category have been contacted by their respective teaching staff.

  • Students in all years and stages of their training from the following areas will continue their training on-campus: construction apprentices, health, aged care and community services. Students falling into this category will be contacted by their respective teaching staff.

  • VETDSS students have returned to campus and will continue with face-to-face classes.

  • VCE and VCAL students have returned to campus and will continue with face-to-face classes, unless otherwise advised by their teaching staff.

  • Vulnerable students in foundation skills programs or language programs are learning on-campus. Students residing in Melbourne will now be allowed on campus to attend these classes.

Students currently on placement can continue at the discretion of their employer.  Students due to commence placement will be contacted by The Gordon via email or text with further information.

Face Masks
Face masks must be carried at all times and worn indoors unless an exception applies. This applies to students on any of our campuses in both metropolitan and regional Victoria.

QR codes
All students attending any Gordon campus must check in using the available QR codes.

Computer access
If you do not have access to a computer or the internet, please advise your teacher.

The Gordon is working closely with the Department of Education and Training and will provide further information to students as soon as it becomes available.
