The Gordon’s Taste of TAFE day is a brilliant two-day program that will give Year 9 and 10 students an insight into the incredible careers that TAFE can deliver.
This fun and engaging program will see students get hands-on with the creative, technical, service, and trade-based courses delivered at our East Geelong and Geelong City campuses.
By allowing students to immerse themselves in a broad suite of career options, students will gain a genuine understanding of vocational education and feel more confident selecting VET courses, post-secondary courses, and career pathways.
It is the perfect opportunity for your students to explore our facilities, meet our highly trained and industry-experienced teachers, ask questions and learn a new skill.
- Schools may opt to attend one or both days
- Students will complete one taster in the morning and one taster in the afternoon per day

9:30 am – 10:00 am Registrations and welcome
10:00 am – 10:15 am Move to the first taster
10:15 am – 11:45 am Taster 1
11:45 am – 12:00 pm Move to lunch
12:00 pm – 12:30 pm Lunch
12:30 pm – 12:45 pm Move to the second taster
12:45 pm – 2:15 pm Taster 2
2:15 pm – 2:30 pm Conclusion
