Launch of GFLOI and GLAM

The launch of the Geelong Future Leaders of Industry and Girls Leading Advanced Manufacturing was held at Deakin CADET on May 9. The 45 successful applicants spent the day touring the world-class engineering facilities at Deakin University before being presented with their safety gear from LyondellBassell.
Delivered by the Geelong Manufacturing Council in partnership with industry, the program continues throughout 2019. It provides students with the rare opportunity to see advanced manufacturing, digital technologies & engineering up close in real world businesses, speak with role models from across a range of careers and meet senior leaders during the tours, as well as hone their leadership and communication skills through workshops.
