Course description

This is a 6 week course for veterinary nurses and wildlife carers who would like to extend their knowledge and skills in working with wildlife.

The training covers identification, assessment and triage of wildlife, and the providing of initial emergency care for the most common mammals, birds and reptiles brought in for care. This knowledge can significantly aid in an accurate diagnosis, prognosis, treatment and outcome for many of our injured and orphaned native animals, and help reduce some of the load on the Veterinarians who treat our wildlife.
