Your voice matters
Your honest feedback about your experience as a student at The Gordon is important to us. Throughout your time as a current or former student, you will be invited to confidentially share your feedback through a number of surveys to help us better understand how we are doing and how you think we could improve. We encourage you to participate in these surveys. You can make a difference.
Internal core surveys run by The Gordon:
If you are a new student starting a course in Term 1 or Term 3, you will have the opportunity to share your experiences of starting with The Gordon. There are four short sections to this survey:
- Choosing your course, which asks you how and why you chose your course at The Gordon
- Before you started at The Gordon, which asks about your experience with information sessions and the enrollment process
- Getting started and your first 4 weeks, which asks about your awareness of services and how you found The Gordon student experience overall
- A little about you, which asks for a little further information about the communication platforms that you use
Your responses are de-identified, with a collation of comments provided to staff across the university. If you write a comment in a text box that identifies you, your personal information is removed before circulating the results
After completing a unit, you have the opportunity to tell us what worked well and what could use some improvement. The survey asks for your reflections and feedback about the unit in general, online learning and the teacher.
Your responses are de-identified, individual comments and group results (not all individual responses) are provided to teachers and managers. If you write a comment in a text box that identifies you, your personal information is removed before providing the results to the teacher and managers.
The survey is focused on satisfaction with current training and facilities. All current students are invited to participate as well as corresponding employers.
External core surveys run by The Gordon:
These surveys are centred on course outcomes including employment and satisfaction with The Gordon. They are conducted by the Department of Education and Training in conjunction with VET providers across Victoria.
The student survey is open to all Government funded Victorian students who completed their studies in the previous calendar year.
This survey is centred on course satisfaction, reason for training, and future training and employment opportunities. It is conducted by NCVER in conjunction with VET providers across Australia.
You speak. We listen. We act.
We take your survey results seriously and use them to make real change. Survey results are provided to relevant staff to review and action.
Moving forward, we will share relevant findings and outcomes to you either through this webpage or through other relevant communications.
