Our Culture
We believe in the power of our people, and we celebrate and prize their creativity, contribution and talents. At The Gordon, everyone is welcomed, everyone is valued, and everyone can make a difference. This is the spirit of our culture, and it stems from our values, which were the result of a collective employee voice. They define who we are, what we stand for and are the reference for our actions and decisions.
We are The Gordon
We are one team, united through purpose, strengthened by our differences and better for our collective contribution
We bring our best
We deliver results that make a difference, and of which we are proud
We create the future
We think big and bold and push ourselves to be better
We are student minded
We put our students at the centre of our every decision and action
Recognition and appreciation
A culture that helps people to thrive begins with recognition. We ensure that recognition and appreciation is central to everyone’s experience, and is something that anyone can do at any time. Whether this is expressed as everyday thanks and gratitude, through our NAIDOC awards, applauding career milestones or celebrating extra effort, little victories and big wins.
We know our focus on this improves the quantity and quality of our people’s experiences at work - experiences that help them reach higher, accomplish more, and want to stay.
Our Community
By joining The Gordon community you will be able to take part in Gordon wide events that bring employees together. You can support our students help create
their futures by taking part in the student run Café, massages, haircuts and more.
Being inclusive
Our people thrive in a diverse and vibrant environment that is welcoming, inclusive and safe. We provide a workplace of equal opportunity, accessible to everyone, regardless of ability, where everyone has the right to be themselves and, where our diversity is a catalyst for the experiences of our student community.
