Entry requirements

  • Attending a secondary school.
  • Applicants are required to be aged 15 years and over.   
  • Literacy and numeracy level equivalent to the successful completion of Year 9.
  • Review the personal learning requirements essential to this course and discuss with your school VET Coordinator before you apply.

You will learn

  • Create digital artwork, visual designs and multimedia content using Adobe Creative Cloud software.
  • Design and develop websites, interactive media and digital communication products.
  • Produce and edit photography, video and digital image assets for media projects.
  • Apply creative design processes to develop concepts from planning through to production.
  • Build a professional portfolio of animation, design, photography and multimedia projects.

Course outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, you will receive:

  • Recognition of up to two VCE VET units at Units 1 and 2 level, and a VCE VET Units 3 and 4 sequence.
  • ATAR contribution: Students undertaking VCE may choose scored or non-scored assessment. The second year of this program can contribute to the ATAR in the same way as a Unit 3 and 4 study.
  • Certificate III in Screen and Media qualification.

Students are required to purchase 

  • USB removable flash drive for backing up / transferring files (from 4GB to 8GB) 
  • A4 Spiral Bound Visual Diary $4.95

Assessment is based on

  • Questioning 
  • Observations and practical demonstrations 
  • Portfolio (work samples) 
  • Product (reports, projects, role plays etc)
