  • Attending a secondary school
  • Literacy and numeracy level equivalent to the successful completion of Year 9

You will learn

  • Apply effective infection control practices
  • Workplace health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
  • Develop effective communication techniques to interact with clients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals
  • To interpret and apply medical terminology accurately
  • Explore the systems and functions of the human body to better understand healthcare practices

Course outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program you will receive:

  • Recognition of up to two VCE VET units at Units 1 and 2 level, and a VCE VET Units 3 and 4 sequence
  • ATAR contribution: if you undertake scored assessment, the study score can contribute directly to the ATAR, either as one of your best four studies (the primary four) or as a fifth or sixth study increment
  • A Statement of Attainment for the partial completion of Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance

  • Clothing suitable for program activities, closed in shoes - school uniform
