Scored Assessment

VETDSS programs offer the opportunity to earn credit towards your VCE. Each course page provides information on the credit that may be available for the qualification under the ‘Course outcomes’ section.

Certain VETDSS programs offer scored assessment, which means you can receive a Study Score, just like you do for your other VCE subjects. Scored assessment is based on the scored Unit 3–4 sequence of the VCE VET program. It consists of three coursework tasks, accounting for 66% of the overall study score, and an end-of-year examination, which contributes 34% to the study score. The end-of-year exam is set by the VCAA.

The Gordon offers 9 VET qualifications where scored assessment is available in the second year of the program. These qualifications are:

ATAR Contribution

If you wish to receive an ATAR contribution for any of the above-listed VET qualifications, you must undertake scored assessment to achieve a study score. This study score can directly contribute to your ATAR as one of your best four studies (the primary four) or as a fifth or sixth study increment.
If you choose not to receive a study score for a scored Unit 3-4 sequence, it will not contribute to your ATAR.

*All credits and ATAR contribution must be confirmed by your school VET Coordinator.
