Administration Essentials

During and after your studies at The Gordon, you will need to enrol, pay your fees, purchase course books and get your student card. You may also need to update your details, change course details or request transcripts and other information. The 'How to' section on this page will help you with how to do that.

eCentral contains your student records. You will need your student ID and password to log in. Use eCentral to update your personal details, apply for courses, view application status and correspondence, manage your enrolments, pay fees, and view results.

Fees and Charges guide

Please take time to read the Fees and Charges Guide before you enrol. The guide explains the enrolment fees and charges and outlines available concessions, payment options and refunds. This guide excludes short course or VET in Schools students.  

Domestic students

International students

International students are enrolled by the International Office. Please contact the International Office. For any questions about enrolment, fees or payment options.

Get a Student ID card


You can get a Student ID Card once you are up to date on fee payments or have set up a payment plan. You can request your card online using the link below or in person at Customer Service.   

You should keep your Student ID Card with you at all times when on campus. It is used for:

  • identification 
  • printing and photocopying
  • borrowing from the library

If you are having trouble paying your fees, there are options available to you, depending on your course level. 

In addition to VET Student Loans and Fee Payment Plans, we encourage you to also explore any scholarships that you may be eligible to apply for.

Reset your password


If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it via the eCentral login page.

You will need access to the email or mobile phone that is registered to your Gordon account.

  1. Go to the eCentral login screen
  2. Click on the link “Reset Password”
  3. Enter your Student ID, then click “Retrieve Password”. If you have forgotten your Student ID, you will need to Retrieve your Student ID first.
  4. You will receive an email and text with a link to reset your password. The link will be valid for 24 hours.

If you have forgotten your Student ID (student number), you can retrieve it via the eCentral login page.

You will need access to the email or mobile phone that is registered to your Gordon account.

  1. Go to the eCentral login screen
  2. Click on the link “Retrieve Student ID”
  3. Enter your personal email address and click “Retrieve Student ID”
  4. Your Student ID will be sent to you via email and SMS

Update your contact details


To update your address, email, phone or emergency contact details:

  1. Log into your eCentral account
  2. Click on my details
  3. Refer to the request a change to my details button. 

It is important to keep your contact information up to date with us via eCentral so you don’t miss important information. If we can’t contact you in relation to absences you may be withdrawn from the course and may still be liable for payment of fees. Please not email and SMS are our primary forms of communication.

Your contact details are also how State and Federal Government will contact you when required, particularly in relation to any relevant VET Student Loan information.

Update your name or gender


To update your name or gender at The Gordon, follow these steps:

  1. Visit usi.gov.au, log in to your account and simply update your details 
  2. Complete the Student Change of details form
  3. Attach proof of evidence required on your form to your email
  4. Return to custservice1@gordontafe.edu.au or drop off the form to Customer Service on campus. Your request will be processed within 5 working days.

Please note, before The Gordon can update your name or gender you must change your name with the Unique Student Identifier registry first.  

Withdraw and apply for a refund


Detailed information on fees and charges, withdrawing from your course and applying for a refund can be found in the Fees and Charges Guide.

If you are unsure if studying or continuing your course is right for you and are thinking of withdrawing, follow these steps:

  1. Talk to your teacher. There may be options to reduce your study load or other support to help you continue. 
  2. Explore the support services available. We are all here to help you. 
  3. If you still wish to withdraw you will need to complete a withdrawal and refund request form. This can be requested from Customer Service via email, phone or in person.
  4. Return the completed withdrawal and refund request form by email or in person to Customer Service. The withdrawal process can take up to two weeks to complete and you will be advised of the outcome via email.  
  5. Your withdrawal will automatically be assessed for a refund based on the refund rules (page 11).
  6. If you have extraordinary circumstances and didn’t receive a refund you can request an outcome review. This needs to be completed in writing with your details, reasons why you are withdrawing, and why a refund should apply. Attach any evidence to support your request (i.e. medical certificates etc). Email (or drop) the request into Customer Service.

International students cancelling or withdrawing enrolment from a course should contact the International Office for the relevant policy and procedure.

VET Delivered to Secondary  School (VETDSS)  students cancelling or withdrawing enrolment from a course should contact the VET Delivered to Secondary Schools team.
