If you have just completed your secondary schooling, you may be feeling a little uncertain about what your future holds, particularly if you’re looking to move onto tertiary study.
You may be asking yourself...Will I get the ATAR score I need to pursue my dream career? If not, what are my options? At The Gordon, one thing is certain, you always have options!
Didn’t get the ATAR you needed?
You don’t need an ATAR to study at The Gordon. And even better, we have pathway agreements with Deakin University and Vic University, so you can begin your studies with The Gordon and later transfer to your course of choice at uni.
“To be honest, TAFE wasn’t my plan. I had applied for nursing at uni after Year 12, and after not getting in, I was quite deflated. Turning to The Gordon was possibly the best thing that happened. It was a lot more hands-on. As a visual learner, this was perfect for me and meant I could really focus in a small classroom environment.” Lili Gard, Diploma of Nursing
As an outcome of her Diploma, Lili received credit points towards her Bachelor of Nursing studies, shortening her training considerable.
The Gordon offers pathways to university for a broad range of courses, and students may receive credits towards a degree saving thousands in uni fees! And with a TAFE qualification, you’re a step ahead of your uni counterparts. With the hands-on skills gained at TAFE, you have the experience you need to start working in your field of choice while completing your uni course!
Don’t know what you want to do?
No worries! The Gordon offers a large range of short courses, allowing you to discover your true passion ahead of committing to long term study.
