Apprenticeships and traineeships are a great way to bring new people into your business and invest in its future.
Australian apprentices are available in over 500 occupations and combine paid work with structured training, leading to a nationally-recognised qualification. Incentives may be available to your business if you employ an apprentice that is a school student/leaver, a person re-entering the workforce, or an adult worker changing careers.
Apprenticeships and traineeships can be completed part-time or full-time, on or off the job. The Gordon works with employers, apprentices and trainees to customise training through an Individual Training Plan. We also help deliver and assess training both in the workplace and on-campus.
You can employ an apprentice or trainee directly, or you can work with a Group Training Organisation to become a host employee. This option can reduce administration and provide flexibility if you cannot offer ongoing or full-time work, or the variety of work required to build the necessary skills.
