Private rentals require you to sign a lease with a real estate agent or directly with a landlord. Some places will be furnished but it is more common to rent an unfurnished apartment (also known as a unit or flat) or house.
You may rent a private room in a share house where all housemates share the cost of common utilities like electricity, gas and water. If you would prefer not to share with others, you can choose to rent a private apartment, unit or house.
