Are you looking for an alternative to mainstream school?

The Gordon offers a variety of options for senior secondary students wanting to engage in more hands-on learning.

Geelong Technical Education Centre (GTEC) specialises in VCAL, a work readiness program, as well as School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBAT) that teach the practical skills needed to pathway to employment. Alternatively you can choose to get a head start on your career by studying your VCE with a vocational education and training (VET) program that allows for hands-on experience in the industry of your choice.

Our VCE courses allow you to study in a relaxed setting, with small classes, supportive teachers, and an adult learning environment. If you are aged 15 -17 years and are not yet at VCE standard, our Youth Access program can help you achieve your study and work goals.

The Gordon is fully committed to youth and child safety. Read our Child Safe Standards Statement of Commitment here.

Our training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding. | Authorised by the Victorian Government, Melbourne.
