Course description
This course provides you with the skills and knowledge required to responsibly sell and serve alcohol to satisfy the requirements of Victorian State legislation. If you are working (or looking to work) in a licensed venue, you will need your RSA to serve and sell alcohol.
Pre-Requisites and additional attendance information
- 6-hours of face-to-face learning and assessment delivered by qualified expert teachers, via online virtual classroom, or in-person classroom at The Gordon City Campus.
- All applications will close 14 days prior to course date.
Delivery and Assessment
This course allows you to:
- Recognise and professionally deal with intoxicated and underage customers
- Gain knowledge of liquor licensing requirements
- To sell and serve alcohol responsibly
- On successful completion you will receive two certificates
- Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment - SITHFAB021 Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol
- RSA certificate issued by Liquor Control Victoria. This document is needed in Victoria to provide evidence of completing the required training.
In Victoria, you need an RSA Certificate of Completion to work in many licensed venues. To receive your RSA Certificate of Completion, you must complete the following:
- an LCV-approved RSA course
- Sexual Harassment and Assault: Recognise, Prevent and Respond (additional online module)

What you will receive
Upon successful completion you will receive a RSA certificate issued by Liquor Control Victoria and receive a Statement of Attainment.
