The Gordon's Policy Commitment

The Gordon will develop and provide quality training and education which meets the needs of industry and the community. To do this The Gordon has committed itself to meeting our regulatory requirements as under the VET Quality Framework.

Customer service is our guiding principle. We value our customers and endeavour to listen, act, and respond immediately to feedback from them. We are committed to the professional development of our staff to enable them to anticipate and meet our customers’ needs.

RTO Registrati​on 

The Gordon (Gordon Institute of TAFE) is a registered training organisation (RTO No 3044) under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011, registered to provide Qualifications and accredited courses and to permited to issue Awards under the Australian Qualifications Framework.

The Gordon’s most recent registration assessment was conducted by the Australian Skills Quality Authority in 2022, you can read a summary of their report in the document linked below.

CRICOS Registr​ation 

The Gordon (Gordon Institute of TAFE) is approved to deliver courses to overseas students in the State of Victoria and registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) code: 00011G.

Senior Secondary Program Registration

The Gordon is a publicly owned Senior Secondary provider, we are committed to delivering programs which respect the principals and practices of Australian democracy. In delivering our programs, we are committed to helping our students understand both their rights and responsibilities to:

  • Elected Government
  • Commonwealth and Victorian laws
  • Equal rights; freedom of religion; freedom of speech and association.

In understanding our rights, it is equally important to understand our responsibilities. We are committed to both demonstrating and teaching the values of openness, tolerance and respect. 

The Gordon has zero tolerance for bullying, discrimination, harassment, intimidation, victimisation and vilification. We will investigate any allegation of misconduct in relation to these values and take appropriate action, regardless of whether that allegation is against a staff member, student or parent.

Our Outcomes
Each year The Gordon monitors and reports VCE/VCAL student participation, outcomes and destinations once they achieve their Certificate. We use this information to improve our programs, and it is made publicly available below so you can compare the Gordon’s performance against other senior secondary providers.
