Deeper The Exhibition
A thoughtful collection of student artwork of paint, print, life drawing, sculpture and 2D design by Gordon TAFE students studying Certificate IV in Visual Arts will be on show at The Gordon Gallery from 13 - 20 October.
The Exhibition ‘Deeper’ has been curated by the students, and guided by practising artists and dedicated teachers at The Gordon.
Students bring together this end-of-year exhibition celebration, showcasing a number of the pieces they have worked on throughout the 12-month course.
“The Gordon Visual Arts program is a great foundation and discovery program. Throughout the course, students gain general drawing, printmaking, sculpture and jewellery creation skills. Then they are exposed to the wide art world and the many career opportunities in the arts. Usually, artists-in-the-making work for themselves at first, so real and practical experience is what our students need, and that is what they receive in class”. Visual Arts teacher José Rodríguez.
‘Deeper’ is open to the public with Opening night on Friday 13 October, 4pm - 7pm, 2 Fenwick Street, The Gordon Gallery, Geelong. The Exhibition will be open for viewing from 13 - 20 October.
