Fees & payments

There are three elements to your course fees:

• Resource or materials fees - This includes resources associated with your course, both physical and electronic. Every student will pay this fee and it will vary from course to course. You will not be eligible for a refund or credit if the materials have been opened or used.

• ​Education Levy - Refers to the Education Levy fund's learner support services that assist you to succeed in your studies. It is a compulsory fee charged at $0.15 cents per nominal hour. This is charged to all students enrolling in units with a start date on or after 1st July 2021, excluding Short Course students, VET Delivered to Secondary School students and International students.

• Tuition  - This fee is for the whole course, not a per year fee. You will pay the fee according to your eligibility for a government subsidy.
   

Tuition fee options:

• Free or discounted - If you qualify and the course is part of the Free TAFE initiative. Find out more about free or discounted courses.

• Concession - For students who have a concession card from Centrelink or the Department of Veteran Affairs, and meet the education and age criteria in our Fees and Charges Guide. Please see our Save on Fees brochure.

• Standard  - For Australian and New Zealand citizens or permanent residents who meet the education and age criteria in our Fees and Charges Guide.

• ​Full fee  - For anyone who does not meet the above criteria.

Please note, you must reside in Victoria to access Victorian government subsided fees. Full fees apply to all non-Victorian residents.
