Student and teacher stories

Image of Corey Doyle, Building and Construction student

“I always enjoyed building, and seeing my friends learn the trade and enjoy their work inspired me to enter the industry. I took the first step by enrolling in a carpentry pre-apprenticeship at The Gordon. I knew this would give me the basic skills for the industry, and improve my chances of finding an employer.

The Gordon facilities are excellent and the teachers work in the industry so they are a great source of knowledge and know exactly what we needed to learn.

I am a full-time apprentice with CC Home Improvements. The pre-apprenticeship gave me the skills and confidence to take straight onto the job site”.
