
Course description
This course includes the skills and knowledge required to perform CPR in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
This course applies to people who may be required to provide CPR in various situations, including workplace, community and personal settings.
Delivery and Assessment
- Online reading and assessment quizzes to be completed before face-to-face session (approximately 1-hour time commitment).
- A half day of classroom-based practical assessments.
Entrance requirements
- Physical capacity to perform two minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult manikin placed on the floor.
- Participants must have sufficient English language skills to independently complete the online pre-course training program and classroom requirements.
- Students are required to have the digital literacy skills needed to study at The Gordon, including:
- - managing an email account
- - creating and editing a document with text
- - organising electronic file storage, back-up and retrieval of documents
- - ability to navigate searching the internet and use of key word
What you will receive
Upon successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment for HLTAID009 Provide CPR
