Course description
This Hobby Welding short course will get you started in the use of welding equipment. Whether you want to get started on a project or kickstart a new career, this course is for you.
Hobby Welding focuses on core practical joining techniques, joint preparation, welding machine setup, safety, and general fabrication methods for functional projects. You will cover Manual Metal Arc Welding (MMA/Stick) and MIG Welding. It does not include TIG Welding. The materials used are Mild Steel only (Sheet, RHS, Angle, Flat Bar etc). Other materials are not covered.
Pre-Requisites and additional attendance information
The following PPE must be brought to class:- Welding helmet
- Welding gloves
- Full-length cotton work clothing or overalls
- Steel-capped work boots
What you will receive
Upon successful completion you will receive a Statement of Participation.
