National Reconciliation Week, held annually from 27 May to 3 June is a significant week celebrated each year at The Gordon. It's a chance for students and staff to come together and learn about our cultures, achievements and shared history on the journey of Reconciliation. The week commemorates two significant milestones including the successful 1967 referendum and the High Court Mabo decision.
More information activities at The Gordon will be provided closer to the date.
The artwork shown is from National Reconciliation Week 2025 reflecting the theme for 2025 "Bridging Now to Next,". The artwork was created by Kalkadoon artist Bree Buttenshaw, featuring native regenerating plants symbolizing resilience, strength, and renewal, connecting past wisdom with future possibilities through a central bridge of connection. We look forward to sharing the 2026 theme and artwork when it is released.
