Build the reading and writing skills you need for everyday life, work and future study. This introductory Literacy Skill Set is designed for adults who want to improve their confidence with reading, understanding information and producing written documents.
In a supportive learning environment, you will develop practical skills to interpret a range of texts and create simple workplace and study-related documents. Delivered on campus over five weeks, with classes two days per week, the course provides guidance from experienced teachers and a gradual return to learning.
Whether you are preparing for further education, looking for employment, or simply wanting greater confidence in daily life, this skill set will help you build the strong literacy foundations needed to achieve your goals.

Each student must complete a pre-training review as part of their application. The outcome of your pre-training review assists our teachers and trainers to better understand your capabilities prior to training and enables you to be matched to the right program. Please note that the listed electives are delivered by The Gordon but you may not need to complete all of these units to successfully complete this qualification. If you have previously completed any of the units of competency relevant to this course, you may be eligible for Credit Transfer (CT).
