Introduction/About me:

I am a 43-year-old mum of two from Geelong and a past student of The Gordon.

Qualification, Skills, Strengths, Talent:

Certificate III Community services, Diploma Community Services (Case Management) excellent communication skill, intermediate technology skills, excellent interpersonal skills, accomplished performance and musician.

What are you passionate about:

I am most passionate about inclusion for all and sharing my lived experience and knowledge with those who can enact significant change.  I am also passionate about advocating for myself and others and supporting those who wish to advocate for themselves.

Why did you join the co-creator team?

I joined the co-creator team so I can hopefully be part of a change in how disability and inclusion is tackled at all levels of education and to meet like-minded people to collaborate with.

What do you enjoy about being a Co-creator?

I have enjoyed meeting others who share similar experiences and have similar goals, and I enjoy connecting with those who can help bringing about change.

What would you like the COEDI to achieve?

I would like to see the COEDI to achieve an easier transition through education and work for everyone, not just students with a disability.  I’d also love to see the overall TAFE experience be more inclusive as a whole, and in an ideal world change the narrative to one where accessibility and inclusion are the rule, rather than the expectation.
