Building Change, Keeping Connection
The Gordon is building Victoria’s first Centre of Excellence in Disability Inclusion to make TAFE more accessible and inclusive for everyone. Construction will run through 2026–27, and while there will be some significant but essential changes on campus, all services will remain available. Check updated maps, signage, and digital notices to help you get around, and review your timetable regularly. If you need support or have questions, please contact Customer Service.

Food and Social Space changes
The main cafeteria will be closed during the first stage of construction. During this time, a range of temporary outlets and informal spaces are available to go to eat, study, relax and stay connected.
- Pop-up cafe (Outside Library in Building H, level 1): sandwiches, quick meals, pies and cold drinks plus casual seating. Open from 8 am - 1.30 pm.
- Pop-up cafe (Outside Bakery in Building T, level 1): hot snacks and cold drinks. The Culinary Academy next door will be open as a social space. Open from 11 am - 1 pm.
- Coffee cart (Outside the Auditorium in Building H level 1): Perfect for a quick caffeine fix with casual booth seating. Open from 8 am - 1 pm.
- Student lounge (H1.19 behind Customer Service): microwave, kitchen facilities, vending machines, casual seating, chill out zone and device charging stations.
- Library courtyard - transformed into a social zone with table tennis and casual seating.
- The Social Cafe and Davidson restaurant - both remain open. The Social opening hours are 7.30 am to 4.30pm.
Service offerings may be adjusted over the coming weeks. We will continue to share updates as they become available.
Skills and Jobs Centre relocation
The Skills and Jobs Centre will move to Building A, level 1 in February 2026. Until then, all services are available online.
Program area room changes
- General Education & Work Education (including staffroom): moving to T Building Basement
- Massage Clinic: moving to to G2.26
- Health Course: some classrooms are changing. Please check your timetable.
