Benefactors support Gordon students
Local businesses, individuals and charitable trusts have partnered with The Gordon to provide students with scholarships to support them through their studies.
The Gordon’s 2021 scholarship program sees 47 scholarship recipients awarded more than $87,000. The leadership and initiative, accessible and skill-specific scholarships aim to improve access to education for students who are disadvantaged or are overcoming obstacles by assisting them with course related expenses, travel and basic living costs.
CEO of The Gordon, Joe Ormeno stated, “The generosity of our benefactors in providing scholarship assistance to our students is highly valued. Their ongoing support allows students facing hardship to achieve their study goals and realise their ambitions.
“At The Gordon we are continually striving to improve access to training and education with a key factor of our success being the constant investment in our students and resources.”
Scholarships provided through the generous contributions received are valued between $500 and $5,000.
