Designing a creative career after studying at The Gordon

Have you met Mandy? If you've 'popped' in to the Pop Up Gallery in central Geelong then chances are you have!

Mandy is an Alumni of The Gordon and former Student of the Year who completed an Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design. Creating original art, limited edition prints and educational products at her art gallery in central Geelong, Mandy has been able to turn her creative passion into a thriving profession.

"I love what I do and it's all because I left my full-time job to do graphic design at The Gordon."

A stroll around the gallery and you will be inspired to join one of Mandy's workshops. Held in the rear of the gallery, anyone can join. Check out Mandy’s upcoming session of Painting on Ply bit.ly/2CTAYQf, or simply pop in for chat where you may just see Mandy creating her next masterpiece!

“You can often find me painting in the gallery. You can peek through the windows or come in for a chat - you may find me busy designing my next mural, illustration or working on my freelance graphic design.”

While honing her skills at The Gordon, Mandy learnt some valuable lessons on how to brand her business, find work opportunities and pitch to clients.

“My experiences at The Gordon were so pivotal to my career. They helped me to decide the direction I needed to take and how to achieve that goal. And the teachers! Every single one of them, their passion for teaching was incredible and their patience with the students was outstanding. So many opportunities have come from being part of this amazing ‘family’ and I am always proud to say I studied at The Gordon.”

You can find Mandy at the Pop Up Gallery at 105 Moorabool St, Geelong, or follow her here Mandy Dollery.
