She/Her
I have a background in disability support and dog training, with qualifications including a Certificate IV in Disability and a Certificate III in Dog Training and Behaviour. I'm currently studying the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to expand my skills and support others through education. I’m passionate about helping people build stronger relationships with their dogs, particularly in assistance dog training. I also have lived experience with neurodivergence and chronic health conditions, which gives me a deep understanding of accessibility and inclusion. I enjoy creating supportive, practical learning environments where everyone can feel capable and confident.
I hold a Certificate IV in Disability and a Certificate III in Dog Training and Behaviour, and I’m currently completing my Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. I’m passionate about inclusive education, disability support, and helping others build confidence and independence through practical learning. My strengths include patience, adaptability, and the ability to break down complex tasks into simple, achievable steps that suit different learning styles. I enjoy working both one-on-one and in group settings, creating supportive spaces where people feel capable and encouraged. I’m especially passionate about the role dogs can play in people’s lives and love helping others develop strong, positive relationships with their dogs, particularly in the context of assistance dog training and everyday handling.
I'm passionate about creating inclusive, supportive environments where people feel seen, heard, and empowered. My lived experience has given me a strong drive to advocate for equity, fairness, and accessibility in both education and the broader community. I care deeply about helping others gain confidence, build independence, and have their voices included; whether that’s through learning, disability support, or assistance dog training. I’m especially passionate about breaking down barriers and making systems more understanding and inclusive for everyone.
I first became involved after attending a workshop with my mum at The Gordon TAFE Geelong campus. During the session, I joined the conversations, shared ideas, and spoke about my experience as a former student; first attending The Gordon as a late teen, and later returning to complete my Certificate IV in Disability. The facilitators saw value in my journey and contributions and afterwards invited me to join the Co-Creation team. Although I was already juggling a lot of commitments, I couldn’t say no to such a unique opportunity, especially one that resonated so deeply with my core values, passions, and sense of purpose. Being part of something that aims to improve inclusion and accessibility felt like a natural extension of who I am and what drives me.
What I enjoy most about being a Co-Creator is knowing that my lived experience is genuinely valued, and that my practical insight is helping to shape something that will make a real difference.
It's meaningful to be part of a team that values inclusion and is actively working towards creating accessible, supportive learning environments.
This project aligns so closely with my values, and it’s exciting to be involved in shaping something with the potential to create long-term impact for students and the broader community.
Being involved in this work reignited my love for learning and education, and played a big part in motivating me to enrol in the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, a step that supports both my personal growth and my future career goals
I want The Gordon’s Centre of Excellence in Disability Inclusion Project to achieve meaningful change; creating success stories for those who’ve previously been excluded or struggled to access education.
