A second-highest study score in the state has headlined an exceptional year of achievement for students enrolled in The Gordon’s VET Delivered to School Students (VETDSS) program in 2025.
Frankie Achilles Martino from Bellarine Secondary College achieved an outstanding study score of 46 in Laboratory Skills (VCE VET), placing him second in Victoria and reinforcing The Gordon’s position as a leading provider of the Laboratory Skills V322CE VET study.
Robyn Dolheguy, Manager of the Vocational Pathways Unit at The Gordon, said Frankie’s result reflects both individual dedication and the quality of the VETDSS program.
“Achieving one of the highest Laboratory Skills study scores in the state is an exceptional accomplishment,” Ms Dolheguy said.
“It highlights what students can achieve when they’re engaged in applied learning and supported by experienced teachers and strong school partnerships.”
Strong results were also recorded across other VCE VET programs delivered through the VETDSS pathway.
Sophie Maeve Gorman from Kardinia International College achieved a study score of 41 in Hospitality - Cookery (VCE VET), demonstrating strong practical skills and commitment to her vocational pathway.
In Information and Communications Technology (VCE VET), Callum Xavier McNeill from Kardinia International College achieved an outstanding study score of 48.
Callum’s result highlights both his technical capability and the strength of The Gordon’s ICT training. His performance this year has also seen him recognised as a finalist in the 2025 Gordon Excellence Awards.
Ms Dolheguy said the results reflect the value of VETDSS in helping secondary school students succeed through real-world learning experiences.
VETDSS gives students a meaningful headstart by combining VCE success with industry-relevant skills. We’re incredibly proud of our high-achieving students and the schools that work alongside us to support these pathways.
Robyn Dolheguy, Manager of the Vocational Pathways Unit
The 2025 results continue to reinforce The Gordon’s reputation for excellence in vocational education and its commitment to helping young people build skills, confidence and future career opportunities through VETDSS.
