We have partnered with the Geelong Tech School and have officially opened a new Clean Energy Training Hub at our East Geelong Campus, creating a dedicated learning environment designed to prepare the next generation of skilled workers for Victoria's growing renewable energy and clean energy technology sectors.
The facility was officially opened on Friday by Christine Couzens MP, Member for Geelong and represents a significant investment in future-focused education and training that will help strengthen regional skills, support industry growth and advance Victoria's clean energy future.

Jointly funded by The Gordon and the Department of Education's Clean Energy Equipment Fund, the Hub has been purpose-built to provide students with access to industry-relevant renewable energy technologies and equipment. The facility was designed by Sibling Architecture, with the refurbishment delivered by Pirotta Services Commercial.
The Clean Energy Equipment Fund ensures Tech schools can purchase the high-quality, industry-standard equipment needed to introduce students to renewable energy career pathways available across Victoria. The fund supports programs that help students build the skills and knowledge required to support Victoria's transition to a clean energy future.
The Gordon is leading renewable energy education across Victoria, developing the Certificate II in Renewable Energy Technologies and Applications for the Victorian TAFE network. Students undertaking the qualification will learn in the new Clean Energy Training Hub, gaining hands-on experience with emerging clean energy technologies and applications.
The new facility will play an important role in building awareness of clean energy careers among secondary school students, while creating clear pathways into further training, apprenticeships and employment opportunities within the sector.
The Geelong Tech School is hosted at The Gordon and provides free high-tech STEM programs to local secondary school students.
This facility is incredibly exciting for Geelong. It gives secondary students access to emerging clean energy technologies and real pathways that connect what they're learning at school with future careers. This Hub will open doors for young people and help them see themselves as part of the clean energy workforce of the future.
Renewable energy is one of the fastest-growing industries in our region and across the country. The Clean Energy Training Hub provides students with early exposure to the technologies shaping our future and prepares them with practical, job-ready skills.
The Clean Energy Training Hub provides secondary school students from across our region with access to cutting-edge technologies and hands-on learning experiences that simply weren't available before. By exposing students to renewable energy careers early through the Geelong Tech School, we're helping them understand the opportunities available and building the skills and confidence they need to pursue pathways in this rapidly growing sector.
The Clean Energy Training Hub further strengthens The Gordon's commitment to delivering innovative training aligned to future workforce needs while supporting Victoria's transition to a cleaner, more sustainable economy.
